Native American Flute

We now run a new sister group to the Didge Club for the Native American Flute.

The Native American Flute was originally used in courting rituals by the indigenous people of North America. It is easy to learn and produces wonderfully haunting music.

Despite originating in the opposite hemisphere from the didgeridoo, the two instruments complement each other beautifully.

Pete Appleton (Didge) and Dom Munton (Flute) having been playing duets at festivals and events around Bristol we decided to start a separate group devoted to the Flute. We adhere to the Native American tradition of improvised and expressive playing.

No experience or musical knowledge is necessary. And we are able to let you try a flute if you wish to try one for the first time.

See our Club Information page for details of times, places and costs.
